What we do
We supply products for coronary and peripheral intervention, structural heart, cardiac rhythm, and cardiovascular surgery, along with general surgery, anesthesia, and hospital consumables.
NC Life Medikal supplies medical devices and consumables for cath labs, operating rooms, and intensive care units, with a focus on cardiology and cardiovascular surgery.
Scroll: a stent's journey through an artery
Plaque that builds up in the wall of the coronary artery narrows the vessel. Flow slows and the heart muscle cannot get the blood it needs.
A 0.014 inch guidewire is passed through the narrowing. Every product that follows advances over this wire.
See the guidewire up closeAdvanced over the wire, the balloon is inflated at the narrowing and pushes the plaque toward the vessel wall.
See the balloon catheter up closeThe stent crimped onto the balloon opens and settles against the vessel wall. The balloon is deflated and withdrawn; the metal scaffold stays in place.
See the stent up closeThe vessel stays open and blood flows again. We keep the product for every step of this journey ready when it is needed.
Company
NC Life Medikal is an Ankara-based supplier of medical devices and consumables. The company works to have the products needed by teams, mainly in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, ready in the right size and in time for the case.
We supply products for coronary and peripheral intervention, structural heart, cardiac rhythm, and cardiovascular surgery, along with general surgery, anesthesia, and hospital consumables.
We work with hospital cath labs, operating rooms, and intensive care units, and with physicians, nurses, and purchasing teams.
We prepare the right size and model according to the case plan and get the required product to the operating room on time.
We track products by lot and expiry date and keep a record of where each product came from and where it went.

A drug-eluting metal scaffold placed in the narrowed coronary artery by balloon. A wide choice of diameters and lengths, including sirolimus- and zotarolimus-eluting models.
Semi-compliant and non-compliant (NC) PTCA balloons for dilating the narrowing and seating the stent against the vessel wall, along with drug-coated balloon options.
Wires that cross the lesion and provide the path for all other products. From soft-tip workhorse wires to chronic total occlusion wires.
Braid-reinforced catheters that engage the coronary ostium and provide support for the balloon and stent. Available in Judkins, Amplatz, and EBU curves.
Self-expanding transcatheter aortic valves (TAVI) placed by catheter without surgery; biological and mechanical valves for surgical replacement.
Self-expanding braided nitinol devices placed by catheter for atrial septal defect, PFO, and patent ductus arteriosus.
Pacemakers, ICD and CRT devices, and their leads, which manage the heart's electrical activity in rhythm disorders.
Absorbable and non-absorbable sutures for cardiovascular and general surgery, with taper-point and cutting needle options.

The drug-eluting stent comes crimped onto the balloon catheter. In this form it is thin enough to advance through the vessel.
When the balloon is inflated, the crowns open; the metal scaffold expands from the ends toward the center until it reaches the vessel diameter.
The balloon is deflated and withdrawn. The stent stays against the vessel wall, and the drug on its surface is released over time.
Strut thickness in current drug-eluting stents is approximately 60–90 microns. A thin design is preferred so that the vessel wall can cover the stent more easily.
Contrast medium injected through the catheter makes the coronary arteries visible on X-ray. Vessels beyond the stenosis fill late and faintly.
The degree and length of the stenosis are measured. The diameter and length of the balloon and stent are chosen according to this measurement.
As you scroll, the image of the same vessel after stenting is revealed: the lumen widens and contrast quickly reaches the end of the vessel.
